Structure That Works

Our Program

A phased approach to recovery that meets you where you are — and takes you where you need to go.

The Foundation

A Phased Path to Independence

Our program is not one-size-fits-all. While every resident lives within the same clear structure of house rules and expectations, your personal journey through our program is paced by your own growth, stability, and readiness.

The average residency length is six months or more. Residents who stay longer consistently demonstrate better long-term outcomes — and we never rush anyone out before they're ready.

From the day you arrive to the day you graduate, our staff and peer community walk alongside you — celebrating milestones and supporting you through challenges.

Phase 1 — Days 1–30
Orientation & Stabilization
Settle into the home, meet your housemates, establish your daily routine, and connect with a sponsor. Focus on meetings, rest, and acclimation to structure.
Phase 2 — Months 2–3
Building Foundations
Step work deepens, employment or education planning begins, and life skills workshops are fully engaged. Residents take on household responsibilities and peer mentorship roles.
Phase 3 — Months 4–6+
Growth & Preparation
Increased personal responsibility, employment or educational enrollment, financial planning, and active discharge planning toward independent or step-down housing.
Graduation
Transition to Independence
With a solid recovery network, employment, savings, and a plan, residents graduate with confidence — and continued connection to the Rainier Crest alumni community.
Non-Negotiables

House Rules & Expectations

Our rules exist to protect every resident. They are enforced consistently and without exception.

No alcohol, illegal drugs, or non-prescribed medications are permitted on the premises or in residents' systems. Any confirmed use will result in immediate discharge. We do not negotiate on this rule — it protects everyone in the home.
All residents are required to attend a minimum number of 12-Step or approved recovery meetings per week (typically 3–5, depending on program phase). Meeting attendance slips must be signed and submitted weekly to the house manager.
All residents must adhere to curfew requirements, which are adjusted by program phase. Early-phase residents have earlier curfews that loosen with demonstrated responsibility. Overnight passes require advance approval from the house manager.
Each resident is assigned weekly household chores. Maintaining a clean, orderly shared home is not just a rule — it is a life skill and an act of respect for your housemates. Inspections occur weekly.
After the initial 30-day stabilization period, all residents are expected to be actively pursuing employment, education, or vocational training. Idle time is among the leading contributors to relapse risk.
All residents are expected to treat one another, staff, and the property with complete respect. Romantic relationships between residents are prohibited during the first 90 days. Harassment, violence, or threatening behavior results in immediate discharge.
Residents must comply with random drug and alcohol testing upon request, without advance notice. Refusal to test is treated the same as a positive result and may result in discharge.
Program fees are due on a set schedule. Financial hardship is addressed on a case-by-case basis. Residents are also encouraged to build savings as part of their discharge plan — staff can assist with basic financial literacy and budgeting.
